Knitting Lingo 101

What's on our Needles?

We knitters love our fibers and have a language of our own.

Here are some cute terms of the knitting world:

LYS - Local Yarn Shop

KIP - Knitting in Public

FO - Finished Object

UFO - Unfinished Object

WIP - Work in Progress

Frog*: To take your knitting off the needles and (rip - ribbit) it out.

Tink - Knitting backwards - leaving work on the needles but taking out one stitch at a time.

* Kleenex and the beverage of your choice required.

We are also fans of Ravelry.com which is a place to interact with other knitters for tips, tricks and ideas. Mrs. Knits is also in the process of creating an advice column for knitters.

Our website is being revamped with a fresh new look. We aren't leaving Ebay but we are shifting into selling on our website www.mrsknits.com

Happy Knitting!
