Mrs. Knits Yarn Shop on Vacation July 16-24

No, we’re not going back to Maui, but we will beach!

Wow that was an intense season of yarn!!! While we are delighted to break sales records; and to welcome more knitters, crocheters, and other fiber artists under our tent, we definitely need a week off to rest. We’ll be relaxing at a beach on the Washington state coast, and Mrs. Knits’ only planned activities will be reading and knitting. She isn’t allowed a sewing machine but is known to obsess over fabrics and art books.

Chewie was brave getting in the water!

For bonus points, this will be Morale Officer Chewie’s first visit to the ocean! A rescue at less than 2 years old, we’re pretty sure he has never seen it before. So far we acclimated him to the idea that water can be in motion, by taking him to visit a small beach on Puget Sound in Bremerton. Though since the surf can be rough on our coastal beaches here, for safety, Chewie will only be going ankle deep at his size, and staying close by my side. But most dogs absolutely love the beach!

And so does his human daddy. Oh yes, we will beach!

And when we get back, it’ll be a blowout final clearance sale on eBay! Mrs. Knits is enjoying all the sample yarns and fall previews that she can’t wait to roll out this fall.
