What I thought was going to be a case of set it all up and throw it all open, is going to play out 1 or 2 countries at a time. I need to be reasonably comfortable that I can dot the i’s and cross the t’s in each country before opening up sales there. So please check back here occasionally to see when your country is ready. If it’s not, contact me, we’ll use the process below, and then I will accelerate delivery to your country if possible.
6/8/2022: Opened up shipping to South Africa.
New territory for me, but I just learned your weather is even more temperate than here in the Northwestern USA! So you do have a little nip in the air that will hopefully inspire knitting and crocheting with some of our fine Noro yarns. The good news is you don’t get hit terribly hard with shipping until 4 pounds (1¾ Kg). After that, just add more to your cart for savings - the shipping cost increases become much lower.
4/25/2022: Opened up shipping to New Zealand and Chile.
We not only left our Winter yarns available, we added back the very special Haunui yarn! Most importantly, we confirmed metric measurements are readily available for all our products, so you don’t have to measure in number of Yank Tanks. 😄 My interactions with Kiwis have been delightful, so I sincerely hope for many more!

I’ve already mentioned how much of a music fan I am. One of my custom Pandora stations is called International Flava. It’s pretty much “World Music” with some kind of twist. So you’d hear a wide variety of mash ups from Irish Punk like the Dropkick Murphys, to Argentinian Ska like Los Fabulosos Cadillacs. The true poster child for that station is “Todo Tiende” by Ojos de Brujo: Spanish Flamenco fused with Bollywood, Hip Hop, and a little Rock.
Mrs. Knits Yarn Shop is ready to make the next big international leap! Our eBay store already ships internationally through their Global Shipping Program - we ship to most countries that they do. This website is currently set up to ship to the USA. It’s a flat fee of $5, which is waived for purchases $40 or more. I just expanded that arrangement to include everywhere served by the US Postal Service (don’t know why Hawai’i was previously excluded - that was an error - definitely not intentional). A very friendly Canadian customer (not surprising) pushed us into the next step.
So here is how our expansion of international shipping will be phased in. The current phase will take a few extra steps and we really appreciate your patience.

I will ask you to complete a purchase, officially for pickup in Bremerton, WA.
Email me your address if you haven’t done so already, and I will reply with an expected shipping rate.
At this point if the sticker shock is too great, we’ll refund and cancel the order without penalty.
Otherwise we will send you a PayPal request for the shipping amount. After receiving that amount, we’ll ship the order within 2 business days.
Then I will send you the tracking information, which you are encouraged to monitor carefully, and email us at the first sign of trouble.
As one of our favorite cooking TV show personalities is fond of saying, “Your patience will be rewarded.” 🙂
The next phase of fully integrated shipping is in progress, and requires a bunch of data entry that is mostly complete. Basically try your purchase, and if you see shipping to your address as an option, go for it! Otherwise, I would be delighted to walk you through the above process for a little longer.
