Knitting in the Summer? Absolutely!
Coffee is a big deal here in the Seattle area. And most of us don’t stop drinking coffee just because it gets warmer. Some among us switch to iced coffee during warm weather, as I like to enjoy now and then. But my husband Mr. Knits is among those that will keep drinking hot coffee every day through the warm weather.
I will not stop knitting during to the summer - never have before! And like Mr. Knits’ hot coffee, I still favor the DK and Worsted weight yarn for my Summer projects. Mr. Knits and I will be out for a weekend getaway on Camano Island, and you can bet that I will have multiple projects to knit in or near that lovely waterfront room.
But like that iced coffee, we have several yarns available for those of you that prefer to switch it up to lighter fabrics. In our Noro store alone we have Akari, Kakigori, Enka, and Silk Garden Sock. Also brand new from Japan for Spring of 2022, we have Uchiwa, Yukata, and a little Asaginu.
If you are on a tighter budget, but still looking for quality lighter yarns, we have a bunch of clearance yarns and kits in our eBay store, including yarns from KFI, Mirasol, Louisa Harding, Ella Rae, Juniper Moon, and even some clearance Noro.
Now that’s warm weather Happy Knitting!
